BIRDS IN ROW - Collected

"Since its beginning in 2009, BIRDS IN ROW plays punk/hardcore in its purest form, visceral, uncompromising and emotional. "Collected" is, as its name suggests, the reunion of the "Rise Of The Phoenix" 7" and the "Cottbus" 12" EP, plus "Phoenix", the very first song ever written by the band. Three years, 250 shows, six European tours, a two-months US tour and a signing on Deathwish Inc later, the three-piece from Laval has gained a strong following, becoming one of the most intense and impressive live acts around these days."

1. Among the Ashes

6. A Kid Called Dreamer

"If you enjoy massive riffs that sound like the end of the world and ultra harsh vocals, France’s Love Sex Machine is for you. This three-piece (ex-In The Final Analysis) plays one of the most crushing and apocalyptic sludgecore out there these days, in the vein of Admiral Angry, The Body or Black Sheep Wall."

ELIZABETH - Where Vultures Land

“Get in the van” as a leitmotiv; ELIZABETH is one of those bands that have understood that the strongest reputations could be only built on the road. Thus, this last year, their home-recorded demo has been enough to let them travel through the whole Europe and shared nearly forty stages with the upper crust of european hardcore/punk. With“Where Vultures Land”, their debut EP, these swiss carve their way into the heaviest and most intense branch of their scene, alongside of bands such as Converge, Rise And Fall or The Hope Conspiracy. Twenty minutes played with a constant energy, which is demultiplied by the unmerciful rusted vocals of Javier (with an heavy burden in the matter as an ex-Nostromo). More than enough to one of the most promising bands of the european scene, now you’re warned.

Tracklist :
1. Darkness
2. The Call
3. Sharp Teeth And Knives
4. Sailor's Grave
5. Candles
6. Black Eyed
7. Heart Beats
8. Rising Kingdom

DOOM/SLUDGE-METAL/PROGRESSIVE-METAL. ** PRE-ORDER - limited colored edition ** First of all - this is not a record for speed fanatics - both bands like it slowl. UNION OF SLEEP from Hagen/Berlin should be known for their previous full-length releases. If you dig really groovy, down-tuned sludgy doom-metal, then look no further. If the likes of BUZZOVEN, FUDGE TUNNEL or 16 make you excited, then UNION OF SLEEP won't disappoint. Their 4 tracks have the right amount of rocking catchiness, heavy southern boogie, blues riffs and gruff booze drenched vocals. They're mainly mid tempo-ish but contain plenty of left hand turns to keep your interest - a hard-hitting riff festival over all. Denver, Colorado's quartett BLACK SLEEP OF KALI are by no means a retro band. They deliver 4 pulverising, uncompromising songs, with aggressive groovy riffs, post-metal aesthetics and influence minus the monotony within this genre. Their hybrid of post- and progressive-metal constantly balances a tightrope between mid '90s apocalyptic NEUROSIS' "times of grace" era and modern progressive-metal on a par with MASTODON, BARONESS, or HIGH ON FIRE. Each of the songs are a carefully woven collection of massive riffs that flow - BLACK SLEEP OF KALI know what they’re doing. Both bands have done an impressive job of adopting several aforementioned genres. There’s really no filler to be found here. All of the tracks are knockouts.

Vestiges Split Caulfield

"Vestiges formed in January of 2010. Influenced by hardcore, black metal, crust, d-beat, screamo, and post-rock, the band set out to incorporate elements of each genre to articulate their message both musically and lyrically through a series of albums that follow a central narrative about the relationship between man and nature.

On October 10, 2010 the band released their debut full-length album and the first installment of their narrative, The Descent Of Man. The album was independently released by the band on a limited run of hand-numbered double vinyl, compact discs, and cassettes, which has afforded the band the opportunity to tour extensively across the United States and Canada. The Descent Of Man is currently distributed in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia through a number of independent record labels and distros.

The Descent Of Man follows the creation, the evolution, and the eventual annihilation of mankind. Today, we find ourselves hoping to reverse the damage that we have done and struggling to sustain what little earth we have yet to rape repeatedly. We validate this existence with stories that justify our behavior and our role in the natural world. The promise of salvation in a land we have yet to see has clouded our judgment in a land that is right before our eyes. Industrialization, militarization, overpopulation, theism, specieism, and nihilism are regarded as evolution and progress. Our greed and ignorance have been celebrated and our past has been forgotten. We were meant to be a part of nature. We were not meant to conquer nature. We were given life and we have done everything in our power to bring death upon everything in our path, including ourselves. There will be horrifying consequences for what we have done.

On April 22, 2011 the band released VI, the next chapter of their narrative, on an extremely limited compact disc pressing with the plan to release a vinyl-only, remastered version of the song on a split vinyl with Ghaust (Indonesia) through three labels on three continents. The split was released on October 10, 2011, along with a 180gram pressing of The Descent Of Man, in celebration of its first anniversary.

VI introduces an era of reformation in nature following the annihilation of mankind. Today, we find ourselves buried amongst the remains of our faith and infinite wisdom. The extinction of the most endangering species on earth is celebrated by those that we have forsaken. No salvation, no exception; for the blood of the earth is on our hands.

The band is currently writing and recording for two splits, two tours, and the next installment of their narrative."

Bokanovsky-DEMO 2012

"We recorded those 5 songs in our practice space. This is just to spread new music since our last record (we stumble) is allready 3/4 years old now. Those 5 new songs will be re.recorded after the tour + some other new songs, in order to release a "full lengh" or something similar. We can allready tell you that it will be released on Stonehenge Records (France) and hopefully on Flower of carnage (Japan). Everything will be confirmed after the tour. See you at the shows!!!!"
