MENTAT " AMARILLO ABISAL"
Mentat surge como proyecto musical a mediados de 1998.Durante los años 1998 a 2003 el grupo se va formando y llega a estar compuesto de 3 guitarras, bajo, batería, oboe, trombón de varas, bombardino, percusión, viola y proyecciones visuales.
En julio de este año (2003) grabamos nuestra primera maqueta con Oscar y Santi, miembros de Zanussi, en Valencia. Con el trabajo terminado, pero sin haberlo editado, los japoneses Corrupted se mostraron interesados en editar un compartido; no obstante, por distintas desavenencias no se llevó a cabo.
Poco después de nuestro último concierto en esta etapa falleció nuestro bajista y en julio de 2004 comienza la grabación de las canciones IV y V, que pretende dejar constancia de su riquísima aportación musical a la banda. Tras un período de reflexión sobre la posible continuidad o la disolución del proyecto, decidimos finalmente seguir hacia adelante, para lo que se necesitó una reestructuración.
En abril de 2006, presentamos nuestro primer Ep (homónimo), autoeditado manualmente. En octubre de 2007 editamos nuestro segundo trabajo de estudio ,"Inerte" (ep), con el sello independiente Parade Records (Barcelona). A principios de 2009 editamos nuestro primer trabajo de larga duración "Amarillo abisal" (2xLP) con el sello valenciano La Crisálida Records.
Nuestra música está muy influenciada por bandas de rock, metal y doom como Neurosis, The Cure, Black Sabbath, Corrupted, Amber Asylum o Today is the Day, así como por la música clásica, en particular algunos románticos y postrománticos como Brahms y Mahler, y autores contemporáneos como Penderecki o Gorecki.
Actualmente el grupo está formado por Pablo Peiró (bajo, voces y electrónica), Marc Celma (batería, piano y samples), Javier Vivó (guitarra y voces) y Daniel Roig (proyecciones visuales). En estos momentos estamos componiendo nuevas canciones.

Hemos querido publicar hasta una explicación más permanente de por qué hemos cambiado nuestro nombre. En esencia, estamos evitando cualquier repercusión legal que pudiera entrar el camino del metal de los 80 (balada) Banda GIANT, o su etiqueta correspondiente, Epic Records. Nos wouldnt realmente le importaba, pero el gigante sigue apareciendo como una banda activa, y nos preocupamos sinceramente dont mucho acerca de cómo cambiar tampoco. Braveyoung, al igual que Giant ha sido, es sólo un apodo y no tiene parte seria en nuestros esfuerzos.
Por lo tanto, nada ha cambiado. Somos la misma banda con la misma música y las mismas cosas que nos empuja a hacer que la música. Probablemente siempre revisar material más antiguo, así que no te preocupes acerca de eso. Gracias por permanecer con nosotros, y decirle a todos que usted sabe!

Black Math Horseman "Wyllt"
Debut, is a fascinating compendium of the last 30 years of rock. Call it ambient post-doom. Call it alchemic psych-rock, only without all the freeform guitar freakouts. The band is heavy complete with metal riffs and pounding drums, while their music slides off into the drone genre. What might surprise is BLACK MATH HORSEMAN has a female lead in Sera Timms, which sounds close to a current PJ HARVEY as her vocals help guide the way out. "wyllt" was produced by Scott Reeder (Kyuss) and the results are probably not coincidental as the debut has decent length tracks and a killer eleven minute closer, which bundles many styles of rock and really offers up something different to check out.

Achilles "Hospice"
"Hospice", the sophomore full-length from Achilles (on Hex Records), sees the band continually evolving with their brand of rhythmic, angular – and now increasingly melodic – material, which just keeps getting better as far as I'm concerned. Few tracks top three minutes, and the entire album's only about a half-hour long, so they really keep things moving and leave no room for stalling out. The staples of the band's sound remain firmly intact in terms of aggressive yells breaking through diverse layers of chunky guitar work and a rhythmically pulsing backbone, and there are still plenty of controlled yet chaotic guitar textures and that kind of thing, but there's also more of a dissonant post-hardcore angle happening with a lot of the chord phrasings and arrangements. There are a hell of a lot of twists and turns here, though, so the song structures don't necessarily come across as more streamlined or anything, they just seem to be tapping into a slightly more energetic sensibility that works together with the fluidity of the transitions to maintain the momentum of the album. And shit, I guess they're just progressing as songwriters, which makes perfect sense, so there are some real fuckin' gems on this thing, I can say that much. Killer recording, too. Everything sounds nice and natural with a crisp mix that really utilizes space and breathing room – which lets the distinct basslines take a focal role on occasion, and I'm always a fan of that. Stormcrow split Laudanum -"sacred death"
Stormcrow split Laudanum, dos bandas de Oakland, California (la misma ciudad se neurosis y dio a luz ha bandas como Dystopia, Brainoil y Asunder) que el enfoque de la música pesada desde diferentes ángulos, con resultados igualmente devastadores. Stormcrow ha sido bastante prolífico en los últimos años, haciendo registros de ruptura con la Mass Grave, Skaven and Sanctum. Durante este tiempo la banda ha construido una reputación como el más pesado y metálico banda épica corteza desde el poderoso Bolt Thrower. En esta división entregan dos obras maestras de poder skullcrushing, añadiendo elementos de doom y death metal sueco en su sonido. Fácilmente sus mejores canciones todavía.
Su sonido proviene de un espectro mucho más condenado, como the Melvins y Swans se habían quedado a la putrefacción en alguna zona húmeda de Oakland industrial. Ruido influencia hecho una gran parte del sonido Laudanum es absoluta industriales entremezclados con sus riffs doom gristled. . Sus dos pistas de "Sacred Death" anticipar su próximo larga duración, "The Coronation".
